Apply NOW!

 police

  1. Brentwood Police Officers are among the highest paid officers in Tennessee. Recruits earn $64,032 a year, but that number goes up to $68,628 a year for newly hired certified officers. You’ll also receive a 5% raise after 12 months ($67,089). This annual pay includes a $2,400 transportation stipend and a $480 communication allowance. Officers with a four-year college degree earn an additional $1,200.
  2. Flexible tattoo policy. Did our policy on tattoos keep you from applying to Brentwood in the past? In August 2023, we adopted a flexible policy that is more open to tattoos. Contact us at 615-371-0160 to talk with us about your tattoo.
  3. Our Culture. At Brentwood, we’re looking for officers with a “servant’s heart.” When you join our department, you’re more than a colleague – you’re a part of our family. Just ask one of our newest officers, Wesley Carpenter: “Brentwood Police has everything I was looking for when applying for a position in law enforcement. The command staff, supervisors, and officers are willing to help me learn and want me to succeed. The salary, benefits, and incentives show how much the city cares for us, which is vital for not only bringing in new officers, but taking care of all the officers who are already here. I feel right at home.”
  4. No other city will support you like Brentwood. Check out our new police headquarters’ building. When it opened in 2021, it represented the largest capital project in the city’s history. We drive the best patrol cars and get the best equipment because our community supports us like no other. “This building is nicer than any police facility I’ve ever seen,” Officer Derick Dragon said. When our officers aren’t getting high-fives from the community, they’re receiving accolades from our elected officials. In Brentwood, we have the tools to make sure you’ll succeed, and be fulfilled, in your career.

We also offer:
