The Board of Building Construction Appeals (BBCA) consists of five members appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The Board is comprised of one registered architect, one registered structural engineer, one member at large from the building industry, one building contractor and one member at large from the public. All board members shall be residents of the city at the time of and during their term of appointment.

The Board meets on an as needed basis and is responsible for hearing appeals of decisions made by the City’s Chief Building Official related to building construction or by the Director of Engineering related to land disturbance plans.
