Getting Started

Things to know before you geocache:imageedit_7_5125052381

  1.  Obey all local laws. Follow regulations governing the use of roads and other public areas.
  2.  All 9 caches are located on City of Brentwood property (unless otherwise specified)
  3.  City parks are open from dawn to dusk.  NO nighttime caching, digging or disrupting landscape on city property.
  4.  A city parks trail map may be helpful
  5.  Respect the geocache and replace the container where it was found.
  6.  Master Locks: Once the code for the combination lock is dialed in, push the lock shank into the base and the lock should pop open.  To close the lock, the code still needs to be dialed in. Push the shank into the base and then mix the numbers to relock.
  7.  Caches have small prizes and trinkets for trade. (please be sure to bring something to leave behind)
  8.  Coordinates get you in the area of the hidden cache, but devices may vary up to 20 feet.

Please be respectful at each cache location. All participants must understand that geocaching and other outdoor activities involve risk to both persons and property. In no way shall the City of Brentwood and Historic Commission be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with participation in the Geocaching series. The Brentwood Historic Commission reserves the right to end this program at any time.
