Professional
Ken Travis was first elected to the City Commission in 2015 and is serving his third term. Ken served on the Planning Commission from May 2015-2019. He then served as Vice Mayor from May 2019-2021. From May 2021 to May 2023, Ken served on the City's Tree Board. He was again elected by the commission to the position of Vice Mayor in May 2023 for a two-year term.
Ken earned his degree in Marketing from Memphis State University and is retired from GE Healthcare after 39 years of service. He continues to serve on the Willowick Homeowners Association.
Personal
Ken was born in Memphis and relocated with his wife, Rhonda, to Nashville in 1978, and then later to Brentwood in 2001. Ken and Rhonda have two daughters and two grandchildren. Ken is an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Ken and Rhonda were very active at St. Edward Church and School, where he coached basketball for 31 years. Ken is an avid golfer and member of Brentwood Country Club.
