Brentwood Storage Tank
Beginning in FY 2024 through FY2027, funds are programmed for the second wet weather storage tank as identified in the Sewer System Master Plan (SSMP). Construction of the Metro/Brentwood pump station storage facility #1 was placed into service in January 2023 and has been successful at improving management of wet weather peak flows and reducing overflows during rain events. Planning and preliminary engineering for the second storage facility, also identified in the SSMP has begun with a site identified in the Tower Park area. This second wet weather storage facility and related infrastructure are scheduled for construction to begin in late 2025-early 2026, with completion to be completed in about 14 months.
Wilson Pike Water Line Upsizing Project
Slated to begin construction in CY2025, the Wilson Pike water line upsizing project includes installing approximately feet of 3,100 feet of 18 inch water line along Wilson Pike between Twin Springs Dr. and Crockett Road. This project is identified in the Water Services Department Water System Master Plan (WSMP) in order to provide for current and future water system demands.
Boone Trail Circle and East Ellendale Area Water Line Replacement Project:
This relatively small project proposes to replace around 1,000 feet of water line pipe infrastructure along Boone Trail Cir. and east Ellendale Dr. (between Columbine Cir. and Plymouth Dr.). This project is proposed under the Department's water system, neighborhood pipe replacement program. This work is planned to be bid with the Wilson Pike water line project in order to aid in obtaining better project pricing.
