The City offices and library are closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day. When any holiday occurs on a Sunday, offices will be closed on Monday; and when the holiday occurs on a Saturday, offices will be closed on Friday.
Meetings are normally held the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall’s Commission Chambers, located at 5211 Maryland Way. Agendas for upcoming meetings are available at City Hall, on Brentwood's Website, and are also published as legal notices in a local newspaper. Citizens wishing to address the City Commission may do so during the "Citizens’ Comment" portion of the agenda. A sign-in sheet is provided for those wishing to make comments. The City Commission meeting is rebroadcast on Comcast Cable Channel 19 on Tuesday and Thursday (9:00 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.) following the meeting and available anytime by webcast via our website. The City Commission is the legislative and policy-making body of the City. It consists of seven members elected at-large for four year, staggered terms. The Mayor and Vice Mayor are appointed by the City Commission for two year terms. Also, see Board of Commissioners.
City Hall
Located at 5211 Maryland Way, 615-371-0060. The facility houses administrative offices, Planning & Codes, Police, and Fire & Rescue Station #1. The administrative offices are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Planning & Codes offices are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Police and Fire Departments are open 24 hours a day.

City Manager
The City of Brentwood operates under a commission-manager form of government. The City Manager is hired by the Board of Commissioners and is the Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of city government, as well as implementing the policies enacted by the City Commission. The City Manager’s office is located at City Hall, 5211 Maryland Way, 615-371-0060. Also, see City Manager.

Community Relations Department
This department provides information on city activities, coordinates special events and helps citizens who are unable to determine the appropriate department to contact to resolve a problem. Responsibilities include: social media; public information - City Newsletter, City Web Site, Government Channel 19 on Comcast, Channel 99 on AT&T or Channel 204 on United Communications and Community Guide; coordinating volunteer work by citizens and city volunteer boards; variety of city sponsored events - July 4th, Park Concert Series & Arbor Day; overseeing the Cool Springs House and other historic structures in Crockett Park; the Historic Boiling Spring Academy in Primm Park; Ravenswood Mansion and historic structures in Smith Park. Concerts at Amphitheater
The City sponsors a concert series annually at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater located in Crockett Park. Contact the Community Relations Director at 615-371-0060, orE-mail, for a schedule of events or further information. In order for everyone to enjoy the concerts, the Parks Department has several guidelines: no rollerblades, skateboards or bikes in the amphitheater area, no alcohol or smoking permitted, and dogs, frisbees and balls must be kept outside edge of the amphitheater area.
Summer Concert Series at Crockett Park
For nearly 30 years, Brentwood and community sponsors have provided funds for the Summer Concert Series at Crockett Park. The concerts are held annually at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater located in Crockett Park. If you are interested in performing or need additional information, please contact the Community Relations Director at 615-371-0060. Concert schedule can be found on the city’s website and social media.
Construction Hours of Operation
Construction activities are limited by city code to the hours between 7:00 am and sunset on Monday through Saturday, and between 9:00 am and sunset on Sunday. Under certain situations, the Chief Building Official may grant a waiver to this limitation. For more information call 615-371-2204.
The historic Cool Springs House in Crockett Park, owned and maintained by the city, is available for rent. The first floor is designed for weddings, receptions and community gatherings, and a portion of the second floor has been transformed into a large conference room for meetings, seminars, workshops and business retreats. Crime prevention is a major emphasis of the City of Brentwood Police Department. Officers are available to help organize Neighborhood Watch programs, which encourage neighbors to be alert and report suspicious activities to the police. Contact the Police Department at 615-371-2281, extension 6021 or 6022 or www.brentwoodtn.gov/police.

Cross Connection Control Program
This state mandated program protects against contamination and pollution to the city’s water supply. If a lawn irrigation system is connected to the city’s water supply a backflow prevention device is required and inspected annually.
