Overnight camping is available at at a campsite area in Smith Park.  In 2020, Parks staff coordinated with a Boy Scout group that built the campsite at Smith Park as an Eagle Scout project.  Camping is NOT available for general public use. This is strictly for educational purposes and badge earning.

 Rules and Guidelines

1. Camping in designated areas within City parks is only for educational purposes by organizations directly affiliated with Brentwood schools, or official Boy & Girls scout troops based in Brentwood.
2. No one 18 years or younger will be permitted to reserve.
3. No general public camping is permitted.
4. Tents are the only authorized structure to be used for camping. No campers or other mobile style camping allowed.
5. All reservation requests must be made at least one week prior to event date.
6. Reservations can be made during current reservation season only (February - October).
7. All campers must remain in campground boundary after park closing except for using of restroom facilities (which will remain unlocked during the camp out).
8. Campers shall not enter upon the grounds surrounding the mansion at any time.
9. No night hiking or trail riding permitted during your camp out. 
10. All groups must provide liability insurance naming the City of Brentwood as additional insured.
11. Maximum of 25 people per outing. A minimum of two adults must be present at all times.
12. Open fires are permitted in designated areas and must be completely extinguished before leaving the immediate area and must always be tended to. All groups must bring a fire extinguisher. Users must supply own wood. 
13. Cutting, damaging or removing trees and/or vegetation is prohibited.
14. No Alcohol is permitted.
15. Campers are responsible for all trash removal. 
16. All other park rules remain in effect.
