  • The City furnishes water and sewer service, subject to the rules and regulations of the City, as approved by the Board of Commissioners.
  • The consumer agrees to pay for water and sewer service(s) at the rate approved by the Board of Commissioners.
  • The City furnishes water and sewer service to the consumer under rules and regulations promulgated by the Tennessee Department of Health and Environment.
  • The City, whenever necessary, shall have the right to limit the amount of water used by the consumer, or to cut off the same entirely, without liability.
  • The Consumer shall install, operate, and maintain at his expense, all lines, fixtures, valves, pressure regulators, and other devices.
  • Failure to receive a bill will not release the Consumer from its payment obligation nor will it entitle the Consumer to waiver of penalties.
  • The Consumer agrees to give at least two working days notice before discontinuing service at the location so that the meter may be read for the final bill.
  • In the case of a leak or damage to meter or pipes on the premises of the Consumer, water service may be discontinued until the necessary repairs are made by the Consumer.
  • In the event the Consumer fails to pay the entire bill within the due date, the water will be subject to cut-off and a $50.00 fee will be due for continued service ($100.00 fee after hours).
  • In the event a Consumer’s check is returned for any reason, a service charge of $25.00 will be applied for each returned check.
  • A NON-REFUNDABLE SET UP FEE IN THE AMOUNT OF $25.00 FOR EACH METER WILL BE ADDED TO THE FIRST BILL. THE COMMERCIAL FEE IS $50.00
