BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – On Monday, May 8, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) began work on a Franklin Road repaving project in Brentwood, from Concord Road to Old Hickory Boulevard. The entire project is expected to take a few months to complete.
The first phase of this state project will focus on rebuilding Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps on the sidewalks along Franklin Road. This work will require daily lane closures, and it will take about a month for crews to complete this phase of the project.
Once the ramps are rebuilt, TDOT crews will begin removing a layer of the road’s paved surface through a process called pavement milling. The actual repaving phase will follow the milling process, with workers putting down fresh asphalt along the road.
As mentioned earlier, this project will take a few months to complete, impacting traffic along Franklin Road. The City will post any important updates on Brentwood’s social media accounts.
