Post Date:05/02/2023 9:36 PM

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The City of Brentwood held its general election on Tuesday, May 2, with voters re-electing four incumbent City Commissioners for another four years. All four candidates – Nelson Andrews, Anne Dunn, Susannah Macmillan, and Ken Travis – ran uncontested for the four open Commission seats.

The four individuals will again join Rhea Little, Mark Gorman, and Allison Spears as members of Brentwood’s Board of Commissioners. The Board consists of seven elected officials who make policy decisions for Brentwood City government.

During the Commission’s May 8 meeting, Andrews, Dunn, Macmillan, and Travis will take the formal oath of office. The City Commission will then vote to appoint a commissioner as Mayor and a commissioner as Vice Mayor for two-year terms.

The City Commission meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month for regularly scheduled meetings at City Hall, located at 5211 Maryland Way.
