State Route 6 / Franklin Road Update December 15, 2022

 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation’s widening project of State Route 6/Franklin Road is nearing completion and is expected to be complete by the end of this year.

The following work was completed within the last week:

• Paved majority of driveways
• Paved majority of multi-use path
• Placed/completed long-line thermoplastics

 The following work is expected to be completed this week:

• 50’ of the multi-use path to be paved
• Place topsoil and sod throughout project
• Paint retaining wall parapets

  The current lane closure of the outside northbound lane will remain in place while crews pave the multiuse path.

 Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time, and slow down while in a work zone.  Any questions about this project, please contact TDOT.
