The intersection improvement project at Concord Road and Wilson Pike is nearing completion. This project provides for the addition of a right turn lane from southbound Wilson Pike on to westbound Concord and construction of a new right turn lane on northbound Wilson Pike on to eastbound Concord Road. The new turn lane on northbound Wilson Pike will allow for the existing northbound lanes to be restriped providing one northbound thru lane and dual left turn lanes onto westbound Concord Road.

Paving work on this project will take place Thursday, May 27. This will obviously cause traffic delays through this busy intersection.  On Friday, May 28, adjustments to the traffic signals will occur.  While these adjustments are being made, the traffic signals will be off for approximately 4 hours, again creating traffic delays at this busy intersection.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution when passing through this intersection during the next couple of days.  If possible, drivers should consider alternative routes.
