
2017 Environmental Stewardship Awards
The City of Brentwood’s Environmental Advisory Board recognizes those individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses who are going above and beyond to enhance the environment, protect or conserve natural resources, or promote volunteerism that serves environmental causes. On April 1, 2017, six Environmental Stewardship Awards were presented to this year’s winners at the City’s Arbor Day Celebration.
This year’s champions of the environment are:
Brentwood Country Club – Rainwater Capture Project
New Neighbors Garden Club – Environmental Reading Month
Harry Potter Alliance – Conservation projects and Wildfire Relief Efforts
Dr. Eric Brock – Community Volunteer “Walking the Walk”
Girl Scout Troop 1150 – Waste Free Lunch Program at Scales Elementary
Doug Anderson and Brentwood High – AP Environmental Science Program and Local-Focus Curriculum
